It either comes natural or else it stands out like a swollen thumb. S-Trill doesn’t come on with his song “On the Phone” pretending to be anything he isn’t and the confidence you hear permeating this track is born from a young artist who believes in what he’s doing and doesn’t have to fake it for anyone. S-Trill’s early life is shaped by the tragedy of losing his dad at the age of seven, but it’s obvious that his attitude is to make lemonade when life hands off some lemons. He embraces the right influences for his early work like this and they come through loud and clear in his music, but there’s never any sense that he’s just some shoddy imitator looking for a piece of the pie – instead, he comes across as someone informed by certain styles of music and possessing the necessary talents to take things in his own direction. S-Trill’s already landed in a big way and his impact will grow even deeper thanks to the single “On the Phone”.

Hoes! Hoes!! Hoes!!! by Lord A From the Album What It Is

Hoes! Hoes!! Hoes!!! is the 2nd track on the debut album - What it is by the Nigerian Hip-hop artiste called Lord A released 23rd of October 2017 on popular music streaming .

The name of this track is quite impressionable and self explanatory, initially, one might assume it is tantrum throwing, however it takes a story-telling philosophical approach similar to the songs from greats like Superman - Eminem, Housewife - Dr Dre, Nate Dogg - Your Wife, just to mention a few. It has a catchy, easy-to-recite hook and quite interesting to listen to with its melodious beat.

C.E.O.
Since beginning the C.E.O. Business project in the summer of 2011, Mike Davis Jr. has worked mightily to sharpen his performing and songwriting talents to a razor sharp edge. The results of six years worth of hard work and dedication pays off on songs like his latest single “Livin’ Life” and he stands out from the pack as a potent new talent with something to say all his own. It is likely true, as the Bible says, that there’s really nothing new under the sun, but what do you do if everything’s been done? The answer is you be more resolutely yourself than anyone else could be. You possess the singular spark that helps your voice stand out in a crowded field of pretenders. Mike Davis Jr. accomplishes this with the C.E.O. Business project and “Livin’ Life” is a single release that positions him for an ever more promising future.

MicFreeze - Cousin Skeeter

MicFreeze - Cousin Skeeter

This is as real as it comes. MicFreeze’s new single “Cousin Skeeter” is the latest recording from a seventeen year old hip hop prodigy who’s carving out a reputation as one of the genre’s most promising newcomers in a generation. The intensely personal nature of MicFreeze’s songwriting is reminiscent, naturally, of artists emerging over the last twenty years, but he separates himself from the pack thanks to the equally high musical value the track has. There are layers upon layers of synthesizer weaving around each other and conjuring distinct atmospherics while still establishing a strong groove early on. “Cousin Skeeter” is very much a product of the Detroit hip hop scene, but it’s also very much MicFreeze’s own creation. His personality vividly comes across in every second of this performance and he inhabits the musical landscape with a sense of self that many performers take years to develop to such a height.

Autumn Allen - Beautiful Scar

This is the sort of band project that audiences are likely craving in 2017 – something with variety./ Listeners these days are no longer tethered like past generations to the idea of set band lineups, though they are accustomed to such things, and the hunger for a different experience is palpable and real. Sojo Mojo, a musical project fostered by the creative musical minds of Steven Bauer, Jim Petersen, and John Burke, aims to work around the flaws that invariably drag down even the most talented acts. They have designed this project in such a way that the songs utilize a rotating cast of female singers, giving marquee billing to the singer Gabriella Kreuz, thus ceding to the truth that individual songs of different stripes demand different approaches so that the material reaches its fullest potential and the audience is suitably entertained. “Something to Smile About” and “Just Don’t Ever Tell Me” are the first results of this new project and, based on these performances alone, Sojo Mojo is clearly destined for great things.

Souleye – Wildman

Souleye – Wildman

Souleye’s new single “Wildman” takes the title track to his highly anticipated studio release and unleashes it on the public in a well-deserved spotlight. Well into his second decade writing and recording music, Souleye occupies a niche in the hip hop genre that’s all his own and resulted from a trailblazing approach to merging outstanding lyrical content with across the board appealing arrangements. There’s a lot of color going into the writing of this track instead of just seeming like a vehicle for his vocal – there’s some notable dynamics at work as the song shifts from deep grooves into rousing crescendos helping to hammer home Souleye’s message. As always, however, Souleye’s messaging can never be construed as mere sloganeering. Souleye’s devotion to sharing his experiences and hope with listeners is far more important to him as an artist than following some rigid dogma and it gives even his most melancholy material an immensely attractive air of positivity.

Ossy Oneal - Taylor Swift’s Stairway

Ossy Oneal - Taylor Swift’s Stairway

The unique talents Ossy Oneal brings to his music, namely a willingness to explore a variety of styles and the skills to back it up, make him a true standout in a crowded musical world. It is heartening that Ossy, at merely twenty years old, has the all encompassing talent to bring a variety of musical styles under his control and manipulate them to maximum entertainment effect thanks to his innate understanding of what he and his potential audience wants to hear. His identity comes through quite clearly in everything he does and the latest single from this young performer, “Taylor Swift’s Stairway”, is no exception. Oneal creates according to his own rules and writes about whatever he likes – his love and admiration for Taylor Swift, not just as a performer but as a person, comes through in every minute of this performance. He shows a sure hand for navigating his way through the song to the best possible effect, obviously the result of an artist who began singing at age six, and the final product will appeal to a wide cross section of the music buying public.

Suntrodden - Suntrodden III

Suntrodden - Suntrodden III

As Ruby explains on her website, “Well, it is my stage name.
The main picture of the band is all of them lined up behind one another so you can see their faces. There is one female in the band picture and she’s smiling. The four other band members are male and they are wearing straight faces. In the background behind them the only thing that is clear is some groups of white skinny trees. It’s great to see the faces of the creators of the music. This way while you listen to the music you can create a better picture in your mind of what’s going on in the songs. Also there is a great introduction article to the album, featuring one of the band members Peter Frey. He gives the reason for the band name and the album title. They are about the idea of, “Everything is fine.” This is a great way of prefacing the album. The music is very even and relaxed, just as a Happy Camper is relaxed. Frey said he worked on the music just before his wedding and his search for a steady state of mind.

Thriving Artist

Thriving new artist Kofezi from LaGrange Georgia has been working hard to create a sound that his fans can relate to.
Hip hop’s newest sound is the angst fueled flows of Upstate New York artist Danny Nardini. Danny’s inspiration comes from the burning desire to rectify his family’s break up and spiral downward into poverty. At the age of 14, he was working to support his mother, younger sister and younger brother. Discovering the power of music and rhyme was the pathway out of darkness for his soul and maybe for his family. Emotions born from the harsh realities he faced fill Danny’s lyrics and rhythms with a fierce presence that can’t be denied.

Elle Casazza - 'Proof'

Elle Casazza - ‘Proof’

Chicago’s Elle Casazza is, bluntly, one of 2017’s must-hear artists. The master vocalist delivers calm, engaging, and powerful notes. through top-notch lyrics, on her newest album, Proof. Her energetic, star-like appearance and energy, along with truly remarkable instrumental support, renders the short-and-sweet eight-track effort one of the best—and the most likely to explode in popularity—of recent times.

Proof begins with a dance-inducing track, “Hey”, which is guided not by its catchy clapping and well-timed keyboard notes, but rather, by Casazza’s illuminating vocals. Again, it’s apparent that a lot of work went into arranging the track, but a lot of work goes into arranging a ship as well. Nevertheless, without a captain, there’s no telling where a vessel would end up!

DDAT - Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop and Soul

The Delbert Anderson Trio and Def-i, known as DDAT, united to form the most exciting hip hop sound in the Southwest.
In2 the Arms of Love’s ten songs are the best examples yet of Jupiter in Velvet’s unique modern guitar driven songs that he calls electro dance rock. There’s certainly an abundance of physical tempos capable of grabbing listeners from the first alongside a raw, but thoroughly modern production style and boisterous guitar. His musicianship has deceptive simplicity and a penchant for colorful articulation that most guitar players cannot boast. Jupiter in Velvet has a thorough vision for exactly the sort of music he wants to write, record, and perform. The message behind these songs, however, has an obvious importance to Jupiter in Velvet. This is a songwriter concerned with looking outside himself. His talent for writing and recording clearly serves two masters – the first is releasing the inner need he feels for self expression and the second, perhaps most important, is satisfying his desire to communicate a message he believes to anyone who will listen.

We The Dreamers release EP

We The Dreamers release EP

The seven songs on We The Dreamers’ latest EP, headlined by its first single “Time”, are a testament to what a talented duo can accomplish with minimal backing. This is a band that doesn’t lay on a lot of unnecessary instrumentation. The guiding instruments on this set are keyboards of various ilk, synthesizers, voice, and guitar and We The Dreamers do a superb job of showing off various ways they can bring those elements in accord with one another. The guitar work cops a familiar sound, but We The Dreamers use Ethan Rose’s electric and acoustic playing in inventive ways that further enhance the electronic sheen percolating around nearly every song. This is a duo that will never confine themselves to a narrow line of attack. We The Dreamers, instead, are an artistic unit with a nearly boundless mandate to follow their Muse wherever she may lead them.

Ashley J – Trapped

Ashley J – Trapped

YOU TUBE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=De-QqaMm0u0

“No Rules” is one of three tracks Emanuel Williams, aka Swaylex, has uploaded to YuoTube to illustrate his multi-instrumental and compositional talents. This song alone is enough to prove the young musician is a formidable talent who, even in the ruins of what was once dubbed the music industry, possesses the hunger for success and skills to cut through the dross and rise to the top. The instrumentals show an ample amount of chops – it’s impossible to deny that when you’re dealing with a multi-instrumentalist – but “No Rules”, as are the others, retains an innate accessibility few enormously talented musicians can balance out. Swaylex, however, does it with little apparent effort. “No Rules” is an excellent title for referring to his musical approach. Swaylex’s compositions don’t respect rules, break with convention, and show that it is still indeed possible for one musician to be an one man band.

Roadcase Royale - Not Giving Up

Roadcase Royale - Not Giving Up

Most would agree most popular artists out there have something truly special to give to their fans. This goes above the typical attributes like raw talent, amazing songs, nice voice, or even a very marketable look, sound & image. There’s something truly infectious at the core of these artists that simply makes us feel good when we listen to them. Whatever “it” is - they all seem to have “it”.

Cause for Paws – Rescue Me

Cause for Paws – Rescue Me

Some of acoustic music’s most respected and gifted artists have come together with Blue Night Records for the creation of Rescue Me! It is truly a “cause for paws.” From its inception, the project has had one driving purpose: to support the furry creatures who so enhance our lives with love and loyalty. Now, at last, that purpose has materialized with energy and joy as a 12-track compilation album of tender tunes that honor our four-legged friends. Rescue Me! is a heartfelt collection of Americana music featuring songs that are thought-provoking, uplifting, engaging, and downright funny. If you love animals and acoustic folk music, this is right up your alley and deserves all the support it can get. It’s full of well-crafted songs about cats and dogs.

Souleye drops Hip Hop Medicine

SOULEYE – Hip Hop Medicine

Souleye’s musical career began in the trunk of a car. The rapper, hip-hop artist and songwriter was on his way to a party in pastoral New England hill country in a car so laden down with his friends that he and another teen hopped in the trunk. The year was 1996, and Souleye was still Mario Treadway, a high school kid and basketball player who had spent his entire life in the New England backwoods around Sturbridge, MA. In 2009, while on a meditation gathering, he met singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette. They married in 2010 and he opened her 2012 “Guardian Angel” world tour.

Threefifty - Gently Among the Coals

Threefifty - Gently Among the Coals

Threefifty has massive ambitions, but their music doesn’t readily communicate them. This new collection Gently Among the Coals isn’t some chin held high over-exertion of musical strength in an effort to will some masterpiece into being. Instead, Threefifty produce music that sounds like a natural outgrowth of their interests, passions, skills, and experiences and possess an effortless creativity in this direction that manifests itself as a wide-ranging and quite surprising effort. Gently Among the Coals is an album never content with taking straight lines. It is, instead, a winding and imaginative musical ride with literary power frequently unheard on mainstream releases. Daring can only pay off if you possess the chops and the discipline to back it up. Even a cursory listen to Gently Among the Coals convinces you Threefifty has plenty of both qualities to burn.

Gwyneth Moreland – Cider

Gwyneth Moreland – Cider

Gwyneth Moreland’s California upbringing and sense of community greatly informs the songwriting on her release Cider. The ten songs on this album focus, in different ways and focuses, on character and Moreland demonstrates a nearly matchless talent for getting under the skin of her subject matter without ever giving short shrift to the track’s potential. She has secured the services of some amazing accompaniment for these performances, among them Gene Parsons, former pedal steel guitarist with seminal California country-influenced rockers The Flying Burrito Brothers and The Byrds. Her singing and songwriting, however, are the album’s primary attraction. She lives every line of these songs and shows a consistent willingness to throw herself into the moments and experiences depicted within. Producer David Hayes did a fantastic job of giving these songs the best of all possible platforms to get over with her audience. Cider is a memorable moment in the history of modern folk music.

EX-BET Network Host Rahn Anthoni Releases Inspirational Tribute To Late Special Needs Son

Urban dance music and Christian artist Rahn Anthoni crafts hot hip-hop with an R&B flow, with its deep roots in gospel flavors.
The latest release from Spayyzee, otherwise known by his birth name Michael Plotkin, is the second single from his soon to be delivered debut album. “Work for It” is a hard-hitting testimony to the sacrifices required for a performer to end up something more than a flash in the pan sensation and still contains enough entertainment value to show great allure for many listeners. DC Steez is prominently featured in the track as well and his more rugged, swaggering style makes for an interesting contrast with Spayyzee’s take on the material. The production has a stripped down, spartan approach emphasizing the two voices, but the vocals and music alike strike a perfect balance that keeps everything lean and muscular. The song runs just a bit over four minutes and remains entertaining throughout. If this track is any indication of the quality listeners will encounter on the debut, Spayyzee’s forthcoming release heralds the beginning of a fantastically successful career.

Brielle Von Hugel - “Stronger” FT B.o.B, (Exodus and Sweet & Sour Remix)

Brielle Von Hugel - “Stronger” FT B.o.B, (Exodus and Sweet & Sour Remix)

URL: https://www.briellevonhugel.com/

Brielle Von Hugel’s ascent towards greater mainstream recognition gets a significant boost from her latest single “Stronger”. It’s a collaboration with hip hop artist B.o.B. and House DJ’s Sweet & Sour and Exodus, but Von Hugel is the focal point and she sets the song on fire with an all-encompassing approach that bristles with passion and inspiration. The song has a four minute duration and Hugel keeps it hopping with a variety of approaches that never sound incongruous or strike a false note throughout the proceedings. It’s the latest peak in a career that has seen Hugel take her appearance on Season 11 of American Idol and expand on it with numerous press and television spots as well as teaming with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox to memorable effect. Music runs in this singer’s DNA and she was likely destined from an early age for entertaining a vast audience of eager listeners.

Roadcase Royale - Get Loud

Roadcase Royale - Get Loud

Nancy Wilson describes Roadcase Royale as a side project, never devaluing the primacy of her main band Hall of Famers Heart, but this new six piece sounds like anything but a side project. Roadcase Royale’s debut single “Get Loud” hits all the right buttons for both rock and R&B fans thanks to its clever mingling of the two forms and the vibrant sound the musicians conjure has both substance and commercial appeal. Wilson is joined by Liv Warfield on vocals and her lead guitarist Ryan Waters as well as Heart’s rhythm section and keyboard player. While Wilson is naturally quite familiar with the work of her fellow Heart band mates, she has equally combustible chemistry with Warfield and, particularly, Waters. The six member band has created something quite indelible with “Get Loud” – while it certainly speaks about our current lives with great relevance, the song’s message has a timeless quality.

Angie and the Deserters - 17 Days

Angie and the Deserters - 17 Days

Angie and the Deserters are an unlikely alliance, but it works better than any novice can imagine. Angie Bruyere’s journey from Potsdam, New York to a musical and modeling career in Southern California is the lynchpin for this unlikely chemistry and it makes them an especially exciting, combustible unit. The latest single from her album You, a song entitled “17 Days”, upturns some of the genre’s songwriting conventions on its head. It has a relatively laid back pace, especially when compared to some of Bruyere’s other songs, but it still bristles with the same uncompromising attitude fueling some of the other cuts from the album. “17 Days” makes no apologies for what it is or about. Instead, it pushes gently against the listener from the outset without ever getting strident and makes sure to give its listeners a first class exhibition on what it means to be an entertaining musician. The arrangement crackles and pops.

"SicilianMillion Appeals to the Masses"...!!!!

Here’s an Artist That engages with new age Hip-Hop on all levels of entertainment with a solid sound an catchy rhythmic beats and lyrics. With a recent video dropped a few days ago it has swiftly picked up recognition by his peers and demands attention with its spunk and Concept flow.

Los Angeles: The Abduction is the latest release from The Spider Accomplice. It’s the second entry in their Los Angeles Trilogy and carries on the highly imaginative work heard on the earlier album Los Angeles: The Trap while still building it with an even more inspired approach to their trademark melodic hard rock style. It isn’t all guitar bashing and percussion histrionics though. The band incorporates an assortment of soundscapes and alternative textures into many of the EP’s six songs without ever diverting themselves from their core sound. The lyrical content has an idiosyncratic slant, but it is remarkably poetic at times and vocalist VK Lynne delivers the lyrics in a variety of inventive ways while maintaining a consistent approach across the board. Her fellow musicians Justin Lee Dixon on drums and Arno Nurmisto on guitar and backing vocals provide all the needed after punch to make this a knockout effort from its first track to its last.

Kirbie - Human single

Kirbie - Human single

The first single from Washington DC area singer/songwriter Kirbie’s new album, Melon Soup, is entitled “Human” and gives listener an excellent taste of what they can expect from this upcoming release. Her self-titled 2010 release presented her as a compelling talent with her own idiosyncratic voice quite unlike any other working today, but “Human” shows evidence of the tremendous artistic strides she’s made in the interim. Kirbie has pursued her songwriting craft for nearly a decade and has truly arrived with a sound that is all her own – marrying an atmospheric hybrid of jazz/soul/R&B with a sharply observed songwriting sensibility far more commonly heard in the works of unadorned singer/songwriters. The new single is a track of satisfying depth and the production emphasizes its aforementioned atmospherics without ever dragging the track down. Kirbie’s “Human” will bend some ears, garner a lot of well deserved praise, and ultimately, propel Kirbie ever closer to the level of success she deserves.

Erick Blu / Da Hip Hop Place

Hii.

Hip hop force and lyricist Souleye’s latest single “Snow Angel” will surely garner much attention thanks to its inclusion of the rapper’s wife Alanis Morissette on supporting vocals. Her turn in this new release is surely quite memorable, but it isn’t the whole story behind this track. “Snow Angel” is featured on his impending new full length album Wild Man and stands as one of the most introspective efforts from this powerful recording and performing artist. Souleye is well served by the production efforts of Crush Effect, a renowned figure in the genre, who frames Souleye’s melodic and vocal gifts in the best possible musical light. The combined efforts of the talent involved on this release illustrate the promise and anticipation that deserves to surround his new album. Based on this single and its predecessor, Wild Man is shaping up to be a new peak in a long career filled with extraordinary musical accomplishments.

Poetically Contagious - Toss Him Aside

Poetically Contagious - Toss Him Aside

Get ready for a great platter of music in 2017 from this duo. Poetically Contagious has connected in a big way with their latest single “Toss Him Aside” thanks to its brave and intelligent mix of kinetic musical elements and avoids anything smacking of self indulgence or pretentiousness. This isn’t music with an agenda expect relating personal experience and doesn’t waste any of the listener’s time with unproductive sidebars and extraneous nonsense. Poetically Contagious look to engage the listener physically and mentally with strong music that isn’t merely some placeholder for their lyrical excursions and words that veer from impressive wordplay into remarkably direct and soulful lyrics in the song’s second half. It doesn’t overstay its welcome, clocking in at a hair over four minutes, and looks to reach its audience immediately.

D Clak - Trap Again

D Clak - Trap Again

D Clak, after a decade of mix tapes and live performances in and around the Pittsburgh area, has released his first album The Dime Piece. The single “Trap Again” from that album is a extremely well produced outing for this young hip hop artist that combines considerable finesse with a rough and ready approach to life exuding confidence and sure-footed musical inclinations. It clocks out at a little past the three minute mark, but D Clak takes listeners on an entertaining journey during that brief window of time. It’s a groove-oriented backing track he works with here and proves himself a capable enough rapper and vocalist that he instantly finds the groove and rides it with a combination of cool detatchment and well placed engagement that the material deserves. There’s no question it is autobiographical, even D Clak makes no bones about that during his performance, but there’s nothing unduly prettied up for public consumption.
