Mastermind is an emcee who knows his way around rhymes. When you got it and know it, you have to declare it and that’s probably why he was confident to create “Champion.” Musically it flows on an easy, learnable pace. Lyrically it’s simple and can easily be rapped along to. He gets a little help from his pal Pound on “No Pain.” I like the story being told and the reality behind it. The energy of “Back In The City” is hype and really caps what Mastermind has going on well. It’s really in your face but in the best way. You can’t ignore it.
