What was really cool and unexpected was the pinch of Spanish is the rapid fire ways of “Charge Me Up.” Can we just give it up for the strip joints next anthem, “That Pole?” If I were a dancer, I’d want that as my jam. H2throwed is a hip hop emcee from Dallas, Texas who is doing bigger things than his home state. “Helicopter” sounds menacing and will send chills down spines. Double O hops on a couple tracks and does it up. “Back To The” has a killer hook and is a light track while “We Make Money” has more of backbone to it. Then with Emmanuel on “My Pain” they deliver a track that is chart worthy. It has that pop appeal that comes out in hip hop tracks usually done by Will.i.am - minus the robotic parts. Chris Style is an emcee from Detroit who might make you remind you a bit of Luda mixed with some Eminem. “Silly” is indeed that. It samples Willy Wonka at the start and then quickly, very quickly goes into the rap and it’s so fast it’d make Sonic jealous. Then we slow it down with “Damn She Cold.” Everyone has been there with a girl and then found themselves on the end of a blizzard because that girl is hard as ice. With “Don’t Like Me” you get Chris Style coming at you honest and raw. He’s straightforward with his intentions. He does more or less the same with other joints like “Different Breed” and “Clean that Cold.” Then we get a little something different in “The One She Like.” The music here isn’t traditional hip hop and the beat comes across kind of Middle Eastern with a dash of the club - very interesting. Ending on a high note, Chris Style declares strongly that “The Champ Is Here” and this one is bound to be every confident person’s anthem. Yung Double “I Couldn’t” showcases the up and comings of the emcee. It follows his life from point a to his current state. It is a really upbeat track with lyrics that come at you fast. He overcame it and did when they said he couldn’t possibly be something. He went and made something out of very little. It’s a telling story and really showcases perseverance in this rapper’s life. Tiffane Love is a female emcee ready to flip the game on its side. “Talkin Real” showcases the badass side of Love. She shines with a attitude and finesse that can’t really be touched. Love kind of simmers down with “Bang Bang.” It’s not as in your face as the other two so far. VINYM pronounced “venom” hails from the land of palm trees and beautiful coasts and he brings that chilled vibe to his music. “Loyal 2 My Crew” is a low key great track that doesn’t do much to make you stand up and pay attention to it. It plays it cool and does the trick. With “Satisfied” is a love song that doesn’t get dirty. It is actually a romantic hip hop track - rare. In “Bounce” you do not actually make you bounce like one would expect. That was an ironic twist. Then VINYM caps things off with “A.N.T.I.” and shouts out Jimmy Fallon. That was unexpected but a delight, pop culture references always are. It’s not like the whole track relies on that though. It moves past that and plays like a chilled hit.
